Mina Chang, President of Linking the World, invites people to participate in the first ever Social Innovators Fund (https://www.crowdtilt.com/campaigns/social-innovators-fund), which will go to one social innovator – chosen by the audience – at Social Good Summit Austin on September 24, 2013.
The team behind rapidly growing crowdfunding platform Crowdtilt is so impressed with the campaign and its mission that they have become a formal partner in the event, waiving all fees and even offering to cover the credit card charges. Mina Chang will present at the Social Good Summit Austin, along with Group Excellence CEO Carl Dorvil, who has committed his own team to staffing, growing , and making more sustainable her already international nonprofit Linking the World. The theme of this year’s Social Good Summit Austin is ME TO THE POWER OF WE = BETTER WORLD and the focus is removing barriers to education.
Social Good Summit Austin was founded by CORE Media founder, Ruben Cantu, and SocialGood.TV execs, Stephen Vogelpohl and Elijah May. Now in just its second year, the first Social Good Summit Austin and its resulting initiative – a city-wide Work from Home Day formally endorsed by both Austin City Council and Governor Rick Perry – were so successful that Ruben will be representing the Austin team on the main stage at Mashable’s Social Good Summit in New York City.
